It Was Probably One Of The Best Summers Of My Life

“In the over-saturated world of digital adventure photography, I feel like we as artists a lot of times need to take a step back and ask ourselves why we’re doing what we’re doing. We live in such an age of instant gratification that sometimes we forget to have an honest conversation with ourselves about why we create. I know for me, that was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but it has also been one of the most rewarding. I feel like for me, creativity is about serving others through storytelling. This summer I had the privilege of doing discipleship in the beauty state of Washington in the PNW. Along with pouring into these high schoolers, I was able to take photos of them in a way that captured and portrayed who they are and where they were at at the time. Looking back, it was probably one of the best summers of my life.” – @jessevisual
