The Story Is To Be Continued…

“Even from childhood, I was fascinated by great pictures and the great feelings they can evoke in people. At the age of 15, I got a big poster of the Red Antelope Canyon in Arizona, which is still hanging in my old room at my parent’s house. Just looking at the picture with these unreal stone formations illuminated in red by the sunlight gave me a powerful feeling, that everything will be all right and that there is such beauty on our planet that is waiting to be explored. My passion for taking pictures myself probably started when I got my first Digital Camera in 2002, just before going on an internship in Brazil. I started to shoot what I found beautiful, particularly landscapes and nature, but also people, animals, street photography. It was great to share these pictures of beautiful places and see the responses and feelings in the people I showed them to – family, friends, people just interested in other countries. It made them interested, excited, often happy. Since the internship (and many photos taken) in Brazil, I have started to travel the world. I got my first Digital SLR camera and just wanted to get better in photography – understanding the physics behind it and trying out new settings, compositions and crazy ideas. Looking at pictures of great professional and amateur photographers makes me realize, how much more there is to learn for me and that a really good picture is a true piece of art. So while it makes me very happy to produce some nice shots and share them, I am still learning about photography every day. There is so much more to be explored. So the story is to be continued…” -@frankliebold_photography
